From Bass’s three contenders, What A Winter drew well at barrier 6 while the inform Castlethorpe, and Rushing Wind, drew the final two outside gates of 16 and 15 respectively. |

The Australian imported son of Not A Single Doubt, Castlethorpe, has made an impressive return to the track with two consecutive wins over the sprint distance. The smart mover, looks to have a bright season ahead of him if he continues in this manner as does Friday Nights winner, and stable companion, English Garden. |

Mike Bass almost secured the Cape nursery double at Kenilworth after Abercrombie could be considered stiff not to get up on the outside rail to win the colts Nursery. Hammie's Hooker showed her true class in the fillies version a race earlier making it 4 in a row for the Trippi star. Bass had another two winners on the day; Margaret Court in the last, and what looks to be a very smart horse in Tevez in the second, who won very impressively by 6 lengths.
